Our standard agricultural trencher requires a minimum of 45 to 55 HP. For heavy-duty models trenching up to 5 to 6 feet in hard-packed, stony soils, a 55 to 75+ HP tractor is recommended. The tractor must have a 540 RPM PTO and rear auxiliary hydraulic spool valves.
Yes. Continuous chain trenching requires steady ground movement at very slow speeds—typically between 100 to 500 meters per hour depending on trench depth and soil hardness. Tractors equipped with a creeper gear (ultra-low gear ratio), hydrostatic transmission, or a mechanical ground-drive speed reducer are required to ensure continuous trenching without stalling the tractor or lugging the engine.
Our tractor trencher attachments offer adjustable digging depths from 2.5 feet up to 5.5-6.0 feet (750 mm to 1800 mm). Cutting widths range from 6 inches, 8 inches, 10 inches, up to 14 inches (150 mm to 350 mm) by configuring interchangeable cutter teeth on the heavy-duty digging chain.
The PowerAgro trencher is built on a standard Category-II 3-point linkage hitch. It is fully compatible with all major Indian and international tractor brands including Mahindra (Arjun/Novo series), Swaraj (855/963), Sonalika (DI 60/750/Tiger), John Deere (5050/5310/5405), New Holland (3630/5620), Powertrac, and Farmtrac.
The attachment features an integrated heavy-duty side-discharge auger screw. As the digging chain lifts soil from the trench, the rotating screw auger moves the spoil neatly and consistently to one side of the trench bed. This leaves a clean trench lip and makes subsequent backfilling fast and efficient.
Yes. We offer heavy-duty digging chains fitted with tungsten-carbide bullet rock teeth and combination cup cutters. These teeth easily penetrate hard clay, dry black cotton soil, compacted murrum, and embedded gravel. For extremely rocky ground or asphalt, dedicated rock cutter chains are available.
The PTO driveline is equipped with an integrated heavy-duty slip clutch and shear-pin torque limiter. If the digging chain strikes an immovable underground obstruction such as large bedrock or heavy tree roots, the slip clutch immediately slips, preventing shock loads from damaging the tractor transmission or trencher gearbox.
Key applications include: laying underground agricultural drip and sprinkler pipeline mains, telecom optical fiber cables (OFC), electrical power lines, rural drinking water pipelines, solar farm DC cabling, boundary fencing footings, and farm drainage trenches.
Depth is controlled hydraulically from the tractor seat using a double-acting hydraulic cylinder connected to the digging boom. The operator lowers the boom smoothly into the earth to the desired depth and maintains precise grade using the tractor's hydraulic lever.
